Beautifull, stylish bronze tazza’s, by famous designers s.a. Ferdinand Levillain (1837-1905) and even more famous casters s.a. Barbedienne.

Levillain was a student of the french sculptor Jouffroy (1806-1882) and made his entry at the French Artists Salon in 1861. He continued to participate untill 1903. He was very succesfull with a Neo-Greek style bronze cup he made for the Universal Exhibition in Paris in 1867. When he associated with Ferdinand Barbedienne in 1871, Barbedienne began to exhibit Levillain's Neo-Greel style lamps, vases, cups and candelabras on his stands. In 1878 Levillain was awarded the gold medal for his creations in the Classical style.
